Berggold

  • Earliness: medium-early
  • Pod colour: yellow

Dwarf variety, bushy type forming low to medium plants, not requiring supports. The pods are straight, with a fleshy interior and, unusually, no fibrousness. Even a delayed harvest relative to the optimum harvest does not cause the pod seam to become fibrous, making it still attractive to the customer and suitable for consumption. The variety gives a very high commercial yield for the fresh vegetable market. The rate of flowering and pod growth makes it suitable for mechanical harvesting for industrial processing. It has a low sprouting and initial growth temperature, which makes it ideal for growing in high tunnels, low tunnels and under non-woven and foil for the early market. It is distinguished by its resistance to common bean mosaic virus and anthracnose.

  • Pod length: 12-15 cm
